Regional Cups Print E-mail

Established in 1989, the Eastern Canada (NF, NS, NB, PEI, QC, ON) and Western Canada (MB, SK, AB, BC) Regional Championships are contested by teams and players who participate in levels below the elite level ('A') in their provinces. Teams are stratified into 'B' and 'C' levels based on competitive provincial designation. Players registered in higher levels of competition cannot participate in lower level regional championships. Once a team wins a regional championship, all of its players are promoted to the next hghest level and are no longer permitted to play at the lower level in the following year. Effective 2003, the Men's C Champions will automatically be invited to compete at the Men's B event the following year.

Teams wishing to participate must qualify through their provincial championship process. In most cases, this is done the year before. Consult your provincial association for details and event dates.
