OPENING CEREMONIES

Each province can send up to two teams to any national event, Mens 'A', Womens or Juniors (Under 19s). At times, provinces have been invited to send additional teams in order to balance out the tournament format.

The qualifying process is determined by each province for their teams. Generally, club teams participate in an 'A' level provincial championship the year before in order to earn the right to attend the Nationals. Qualifying teams may then supplement or substitute their roster with as many players from their province as they wish, up to a maximum competition roster of 25 players.

Under the new CBHA guidelines, qualifying teams must submit their tournament entry fee by January 15 and a performance bond (men & women only) by March 1, other wise they will forfeit their right to attend and a replacement team will be sought.

Specific uniform, equipment and roster regulations exist for these events and qualifying teams are required to comply in order to compete.
