The biggest question on the Canadian side was how the team would replace its two most dominant forwards, and the top goaltender in the country, from the 2003 & 2005 WCs. NHL player Alex Burrows (Vancouver Canucks) has now retired from competitve street hockey to concentrate on his burgeoning hockey career, Benoit Gilbert was unable to attend, and veteran Michel Perodeau has retired from the national program. |

This camp was a culmination of five Regional Camps held across Canada, thorough scouting of the Men's National "A" Championships in Montreal, the Western B & C in Winnipeg, MB, & Eastern B & C Championships in Cornerbrook, NL' in 2006. |

The Herbert Carnegie Centennial Centre in North York was the site of the 2001 World Senior Championship this past June, where twelve players from Ontario played an instrumental role in Team Canada's gold medal victory over the Czech Republic, including the impressive play of rookie Brad Foote, of Belleville, who was a key member of the 2000 World Junior Champion Team Canada. |
